STOPAQ® Outerglass Shield UV is a composite wrap material, consisting of a glass-fibre fabric impregnated with a solvent free moisture curing polyurethane resin, which is used as additional (third layer) mechanical protection on Stopaq® corrosion preventative coating system.

To obtain a desired resistance to mechanical loads, multiple layers can be applied. It is supplied in rolls in vacuum sealed pouches to prevent premature curing of the resin. It cures by reaction to moisture or water to form a rigid composite shell with a smooth surface. It provides additional resistance to mechanical forces like impact, indentation, shear, waves and abrasion. The material has good resistance to chemicals and weathering.
