Norwegian Transparency Act

We are excited to announce the release of Presserv’s 2024 Transparency Act Report, a comprehensive document that underscores our steadfast commitment to ethical business practices and transparency, aligned with the Norwegian Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven). This report is part of our broader 2024 Sustainability Report, showcasing our ongoing efforts in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

Key Highlights from the Report:

Commitment to Human Rights

At Presserv, we are dedicated to being a responsible social actor. We set strict requirements for our suppliers through purchasing agreements and our own Supplier Evaluation Procedure. We ensure that all trade in goods and services involves a thorough assessment of various risks, particularly as supply chains become more complex. The Norwegian Transparency Act motivates us to work even more thoroughly and systematically with information gathering and risk mapping. If we suspect or uncover possible violations of human rights and decent working conditions, we will immediately implement the necessary measures.

Responsible Procurement Practices

Presserv has over 25 years of experience in responsible procurement, selecting suppliers based on quality, delivery security, sustainability, and labor and human rights. Our supply chain is transparent, with key suppliers from the USA and the Netherlands. Certified raw materials in accordance with HOCNOF reduce risks and ensure comprehensive product information for our customers.

Global Presence

Presserv operates across six subsidiaries located in Norway, the UK, USA, Australia, Brunei, and Brazil. Our global footprint allows us to maintain straightforward and transparent supply chains, enhancing our ability to manage and mitigate risks.

Transparency Act Compliance:

The Norwegian Transparency Act, effective from July 1, 2022, promotes respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions. It requires businesses to conduct due diligence assessments and publicly report on potential and actual negative consequences.

Presserv has diligently conducted due diligence assessments to align with the Act’s requirements, documenting these assessments and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks associated with human rights and working conditions.

As part of our due diligence, we continuously assess the risk of adverse impacts linked to our operations and business relationships. We utilize a digital platform developed by Ignite Procurement AS for systematized oversight of suppliers and partners, ensuring compliance with the Act.

Reporting Obligations

From July 1, 2022, the obligation to provide information allows anyone to request details about how Presserv and other businesses handle actual and potential negative consequences.

Starting in 2023, businesses must publish public reports on their due diligence assessments, detailing actual and potential negative impacts and the measures in place to mitigate these impacts.

We invite all stakeholders to review our 2024 Transparency Act and Sustainability Report and join us in fostering a responsible and inclusive business environment.
