Problem

Problem

A leading manufacturer of industrial refrigeration and ventilation equipment required a comprehensive preservation solution to protect their assets from corrosion during storage and transportation. The challenge was to ensure both internal and external corrosion protection while maintaining the integrity of sensitive electronic components. Given the exposure to harsh industrial and marine environments, an advanced preservation strategy was essential to extend equipment lifespan and prevent premature deterioration.

Application

Application

To address the client’s needs, a multi-step preservation process was implemented, ensuring thorough cleaning, corrosion protection, and secure packaging. The process began with the application of VpCI-414, an alkaline degreaser formulated for heavy-duty cleaning. This powerful solution effectively removed grease, dirt, and saline residues, preparing the equipment for optimal protection. For electrical and electronic components, VpCI-238 was applied. This specialized electronic cleaner forms a protective nano-thin film using VpCI® technology, shielding circuit boards and sensitive components from industrial, marine, and tropical environments without compromising electrical resistance or magnetic properties. To prevent internal corrosion, VpCI-101, VpCI-105, and VpCI-111 emitters were strategically placed to ensure continuous protection. These patented devices gradually release corrosion inhibitors, safeguarding metal components inside control boxes, enclosures, and other closed compartments. For long-term external protection, the equipment was encapsulated using Cortec VpCI-126 shrink film. This advanced anti-corrosion film integrates cutting-edge corrosion protection technology, preventing rust, oxidation, and white corrosion for up to five years. Unlike traditional rust preventatives, VpCI-126 offers a cleaner, more efficient, and cost-effective solution. Its transparency allows for easy equipment identification, and its formulation is non-toxic, recyclable, and free from amines, phosphates, and halogen-based compounds.

Conclusion

Conclusion

By implementing a full-service preservation strategy, the manufacturer successfully enhanced the longevity and reliability of their refrigeration and ventilation equipment. The combination of VpCI® technology provided robust protection against corrosion in aggressive environments, ensuring seamless storage and transport. This project underscores Presserv Brazil’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge corrosion prevention solutions that safeguard industrial assets and reduce long-term
