UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Sites Maintenance Backlogs as Reason for Major Concern

A recent Energy Voice article highlights the UK Health and Safety Executive’s (HSE) concern relating to offshore maintenance backlogs creating potential for a major accident.

This reinforces the need to make sure that both process and safety systems pipework is protected for the life of asset against failure attributed to corrosion. Presserv has been working with operators and fabric maintenance contractors by specifying STOPAQ visco-elastic coatings for wrapping pipework and encapsulating flanges.

STOPAQ is designed to be applied minimally prepared steelwork and is suitable for sub-sea, splash zone and atmospheric applications. The life-of-asset coating system not only mitigates corrosion, but offers thermal and noise insulation and can be used for passive fire protection.

Being a wrap type coating, STOPAQ has zero waste, no VOC’s and conforms to operators and contractors net zero targets. More details about meeting your ESG goals with STOPAQ can be found in our most recent sustainability report.
